Rachel McKenzie brings creative energy and enthusiasm to her campaigns, often displaying strong professionalism and a real commitment to the projects she leads. Several collaborations showcased her timely responses and an ability to keep the creative spark alive, making her a valuable partner in dynamic marketing efforts. That said, some projects have faced challenges such as delayed deliverables, missed or incomplete details, and occasional communication lapses. Prospective collaborators can set the stage for smoother projects by establishing clear timelines and detailed expectations upfront, which will help in mitigating these issues while harnessing her creative drive overall.

Mural Muffin Takeover
Working with Rachel McKenzie and the Amoeba Music team on the Mural Muffin Takeover was a mixed experience. While they showed enthusiasm and a decent grasp of the campaign’s creative direction, there were moments where clear communication was lacking. Some elements such as their brand guidelines and logo assets came through later than expected, which caused delays in the mural and pastry production schedule. Overall, their timeliness and commitment to achieving a creative campaign were evident, but the process needed more thorough planning. The collaboration could have been smoother with more proactive coordination and adherence to agreed timelines. I’m giving a three-star review as the effort was evident, but improvements in communication and thoroughness would benefit future projects.

Traffic Jam QR Truck Blitz
Working with Rachel on the Traffic Jam QR Truck Blitz campaign for Amoeba Music was a mixed bag. On the plus side, Rachel demonstrated a decent level of professionalism and enthusiasm for the brand, and her enthusiasm for the project was clear. However, there were several setbacks that held us back from a higher rating. Deliverables such as the high-resolution artwork and clear geo-target specifications were delayed or lacked complete details, making it challenging to optimize our routing and engagement strategy. While the overall project ran smoothly from my end, the lack of timely communication and thoroughness in the campaign’s groundwork resulted in an average experience that earns a 3-star review.

Secret Password Taco Pop-Up
Working with Rachel McKenzie on the Amoeba Music campaign was a solid experience. Overall, the project ran smoothly as Rachel was consistently timely and professional, providing all the necessary details such as the ingredient supply confirmation and daily password generation, which helped keep the taco pop-up engaging and on schedule. Her clarity in communications and enthusiasm for the creative aspects really kept the energy high both behind the scenes and at the front of the stand. That said, there were a few hiccups on the marketing collateral side, which didn’t completely meet the initial creative expectations in terms of originality. Despite this, her responsiveness to feedback and willingness to adapt ensured the operation was executed with minimal disruption. Overall, I’d confidently recommend Rachel, earning a well-deserved 4 stars for her commitment and effort in making the project a success.

Secret Taco Passport Takeover
Working with Rachel McKenzie on the Secret Taco Passport Takeover was an experience I would not wish on anyone else. Despite agreeing on clear deliverables and expectations, her approach to the project left much to be desired. Critical details like providing print-ready artwork and confirming prize inventory were completely overlooked, leading to hours of wasted time and last-minute scrambling. Deadlines were missed, communication was sporadic, and her lack of enthusiasm and professionalism made an already challenging event even tougher to manage. Moreover, the promised budget for promotional materials disappeared without explanation, and there was little to no creative input on how best to integrate Amoeba Music's brand into the taco trail. In a gig where timeliness and thoroughness are key, Rachel's approach fell far short of any standard of reliability or creativity. Unfortunately, I'd give this client just 1 star based on my experience.
