Secret LA Sip & Stroll
Working with Giancarlo Russo on the Secret LA Sip & Stroll gig was an overall positive experience. They demonstrated commendable timeliness and professionalism, ensuring that all necessary branded materials and legal documents were delivered promptly. Their enthusiasm was contagious and really helped set the tone for an engaging tour, which in turn kept our guests excited and involved. That said, there were a few minor bumps along the way. Although the detailed co-branding and in-store offer logistics were well thought out, a little extra clarity in their weekly KPI updates could have further enhanced our real-time tracking of QR scans and coupon redemptions. Overall, I would rate them 4-stars for their creative approach and overall thoroughness throughout the month-long campaign.

Traffic Jam QR Truck Blitz
Working with Pepsi on the Traffic Jam QR Truck Blitz was a solid experience. As a brand manager, they were prompt and professional from the get-go. They provided all the necessary high-resolution artwork, clear targeting for LA, and a straightforward set of legal terms for the coupon offer, which made it smooth to set up the on-road activation. Their communication was timely and their analytics requirements were well-defined, enabling an effective tracking of our QR code scans and coupon redemptions. The only slight hiccup was in the realm of creative collaboration—while they were enthusiastic, there were moments when a bit more proactive input on promotional ideas could have elevated the campaign further. Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 4 stars for their thorough planning and professionalism, with a bit of room for creative spontaneity in future projects.

Backpack Arcade Beacon Blitz
I recently wrapped up the 'Backpack Arcade Beacon Blitz' gig for Pepsi, and while the campaign was a success overall, there were a couple of bumps along the way that keep it at a solid 4-star rating. Giancarlo Russo and the Pepsi team were prompt in providing creative assets – their short, punchy silent video was exactly what I needed to light up my LED backpack and captivate the arcade audience. They were professional and enthusiastic about the concept, and most deadlines were met diligently. That said, there were moments where clarity on key talking points could have been improved and some engagement details required a bit more follow-up. Their overall thoroughness was commendable, with detailed nightly reporting and a clear scope of work that made my job easier. A little more proactive communication on the finer points would've made it a perfect collaboration, but I’d happily work with them again.

Secret Taco Passport Takeover
Working on the Secret Taco Passport Takeover for Pepsi under Giancarlo Russo's management was an absolute mess from start to finish. Despite selecting the Standard Package, there was a clear lack of preparation and organization. Communication was nearly non-existent, with last-minute changes in creative direction and an unclear promotional budget that left me scrambling to adjust my plans. The client was never on time with the essential artwork and sponsor details, resulting in awkward, inconsistent brand placements, and a disorganized event flow during the 7-day crawl. Furthermore, enthusiasm and professionalism were severely lacking. Instructions were vague, and their follow-up on deliverables was haphazard at best, leaving me to handle unexpected issues on my own. The paycheck of $750 barely covered the extra hours and stress involved, with no clear accountability or support from the client. Overall, this was a profoundly disappointing engagement that earned nothing but a 1-star review.
